D at the airport in Kiev
(dude, guys ... it's January 17th, take down the tree & Santa)
We made it to Germany! The flight out of Kiev was delayed once we got on board because they had to de-ice ... then one of the runways was closed down due to the snow ... so we had to wait "in line" again so the captain said. Made it to Germany about 9am ... flight leaves at 11:35. We almost went to the wrong gate because the board showed Dallas/Washington DC for the same time, but a different flight number ... hmmmm ... we went towards that gate and then saw another board that showed a second flight for that time with only Washington DC listed and my flight number. Had to turn around and go the other direction. Once we found it we went and found the facilities and then got lunch. Now we're just waiting at the gate for boarding to begin ... and no one has moved their bags from chairs so D and I are sitting on the floor.

Not to worry dear, you can take out your Christmas tree frustrations when you get home. Ours is just the way we left it :)
ReplyDeleteThere better be a burger waiting under that tree when they get home!
ReplyDeleteI think Melissa requested Red Robin on the way home. Maybe she'll get the salmon fish and chips. Apparently she spent the last 3 days eating nothing but TGIF... I looked at that "burger" she got, it looked nasty.
ReplyDeleteI'm actually craving some borscht... I need to find the recipe Olesia sent us.
Tonight you'll be sleeping in your own bed. There's no place like home, there's no place like home...:)
ReplyDeleteHave a safe trip!
June
Welcome Home!!! (At least I think your home now) Welcome to the USA Dennis!!! Hope you all have a restful night in your own beds!
ReplyDeleteMelissa, we keep Christmas tree until January 19th, when the baptism of Jesus in our religion is. So, thats the explanation why the tree and father frost is still there :) I still have my tree up!
ReplyDeleteWelcome home!!!
