The Apartment in Lugans'k

Upon first glance you don't notice and everything is pretty clean, but the tiny bathroom and the poor quality of the bedding gives it away. The toilet has it's own room ... with just the toilet! The room is so small that you basically knock your knees against the door when you sit down. The rest of the bathroom is across the hall; it has a small shower with a non-working door so a shower curtain hangs to replace it, and a very small sink. No place to put your clothes to keep them dry when you're in the shower and since we have an albiet nice, but unrelated adult male living with us, it's not like I can run into the bedroom in my towel to get changed!

The pink sofa (see photo below) is comfy, but most of the zippers holding on the cushions are busted ... I also think they are covered in second hand smoke as I can barely breathe when we're in the apartment.

Light fixture in the sitting room
Notice the 1 working light bulb?

One functioning light bulb per room seems to be the status quo! There were no working lights near the door on the inside or out, to trying to use the key to unlock the door everytime we go in and out was a challenge. Fortunately, "S" called the landlord as soon as he arrived and told her to come put in some new light bulbs. The one shown above now has 3 out of 10 working light bulbs and there are now 2 working in the hall by the door!

"Groovy Baby" kitchen

The other sitting room -
currently serving is our facilitators bedroom!

The main sitting room -
withing minutes of arriving, Brian has already claimed it as the computer room

The bedroom
Mattress is firm, which is good, but no top sheet and no extras in the closet, hmmm ...
good thing we brought those sleeping bags we brought from home!
